Brighton Beach - February 2002

Celebrating 2 years as a club

In February 2002 we celebrated two years as a club and there was no better way to do this than to revisit the site of the first ever Australian Probe meet down at Brighton Beach. Jerry, Andrew and Steve were there and although Bob couldn't physically be there, his son Anthony and daughter Cheryl made the effort to bring the Probe to the meet. Chris and Alex joined us in their MX6's to make it six. In the past two years, we've regularly held joint activities with the Probes and MX6's.

After a few pics and a walk along the pier to watch the power boats being filmed by those crazy helicopters, we headed off for the cruise along Beach Road down to Andrew's house for a BBQ. Many thanks to Andrew and his family for the enjoyable afternoon.

We meet at Brighton Beach and wait for Jerry. Jerry at last.

The original line-up. They look even better now than they did then.
Alex and Chris join us in their MX6's. Our MX6 cousins have joined us on many meets over the last two years.
Cruising down Beach Road. Does this shot look familiar Bob?
Outside Andrew's house. A driveway full of Probes.

I love this shot. Andrew and Jerry get the shade.
Park it straight Jerry. Perhaps the most distinctive Probe in the country.
All gathered around relaxing in the shade. Andrew showing us some of his toys.

NB: At the time of this meet and at the time of writting of this page, our good friend Bob was and is going through a very hard time in his life. Everyone in the club wishes him well and we wish him a speedy recovery. Please spare a thought for him.

Cheers Bob, I hope you enjoy the pics.
